Welcome to the Town of Trochu Business Directory.  Those businesses that have a current Business License in Trochu will be included in our directory.  If you have purchased a Business License but do not appear in the directory please fill out the the Business Directory Listing Application Formand return it to the Town of Trochu Office. If there are errors or ommissions on your listing these can also be corrected by using one of the Listing forms. If you do not have a Business License please fill out the Business License Application, as well as the Business Directory Listing Application form, and return it with payment to the Town of Trochu Office.

    Mental Health Services - DTHR

    Provides professional help for individuals, families, and children who are experiencing difficulties that affect their emotional or mental health.  Services include: one-to-one therapy, child and family therapy, geriatric nurse specialist, outreach services, consultations for physicians, telemental health, community development and education, consultation for therapists and clients engaged in therapy (i.e., eating disorders, forensics, psychiatry, brain injury), 24 hours help line for psychiatric concerns.

    Mental Health - Olds Walk-In

    ALL SERVICES ARE FREE AND NO REFERRAL IS NECESSARY.

    In addition to providing Adult Short-Term Assessmnet and Counselling to those over the age of 18 with mental health concerns, the following services are available: Assertive Outreach - fro adult individuals suffering from chronic or persistent Mental Illness; Senior's Mental Health Outreach Nurse - provdies assessments for adults over the age of 65 with depression and dementia concerns; Children's Mental Health Assessment and Counselling - Service is provided through the Three Hills Mental Health Clinic (403-443-8532); Walk-In Counselling at the Olds Mental Health Clinic, for any person with any problem, is available the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of every month from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm.  No appointment is necessary.

    Healthy Families

    Program through Family Services of Central Alberta.  Healthy Families is a voluntary, no fee program that offers in-home visitation to parents with new babies.  After a review of the family's situation, home visiting may be offered.  The home visitor will provide connections to community supports child development information and strategies, family literacy activities, and general parenting information.  Each family receives service based on their individual needs and interests.

  10. Helping Services/Support Groups
    Kneehill Community Resource Program

    This program provides two services to the residents of the Kneehill area.  Three Family Resource Workers provide confidential support counselling to individuals and families, preventative education programming and information or referral.  This service is offered free to any resident of Kneehill County.  The second service is Family and Marriage Counselling which operates on a sliding fee scale and can be accessed by contacting the Family Resource Worker.
