Tree Sculpture

New to the Arboretum in 2010 is our tree sculpture done by Rimbey artist Darren Jones.  The sculpture was created using only a chainsaw and depicts the face of a man with a Robin in a nest perched on top.   This tree was slowly dying from the top down and it was decided to make something beautiful from it instead of just cutting it down.

In June of 2010 we had another strong wind come through, once again causing a tree to lean becoming a danger to guests at our park.  This tree was topped at 12’ and has also become a sculpture, giving you another reason to come and visit us.
